Check out our 5 top tips:
1. Use Circular Motions
If your whiteboard is only a little bit dirty, you may be able to clean it with a normal whiteboard eraser or cloth. But make sure that when cleaning with an eraser or cloth you use circular motions.
2. Use a Damp Cloth
If using circular motions doesn't work then you may need to use a damp cloth. This should clear up any minor ink stains or smudges. Remember to use circular motions as well though!
3. Use a Whiteboard cleaner
If the whiteboard still isn't clean, you may need to buy a specialised whiteboard cleaner. This should clear the more stubborn stains from the whiteboard. There are loads of different varieties but any decent whiteboard cleaner should do the job.
4. Is it Permanent Marker?
If it is permanent marker that you are trying to remove, these first three tips might not do the job. But before you give up, try this. Trace over the permanent marker with a normal dry wipe marker. Making sure you put a decent amount of pressure on the pen when you do this. Then just wipe off all of the ink, it's as simple as that!
5. Last Resort - Nail Varnish Remover
If you have tried all of these methods and your whiteboard is still dirty, you could try to use nail varnish remover as a last resort. This should remove nearly all of the stubborn stains on your whiteboard. But use it with caution. Depending on the quality of the whiteboard you have it could damage the surface, making the board unusable. So we would only advise doing this as a last resort!
So there are our 5 top tips on cleaning your whiteboard. If none of these have worked and you still find yourself with a dirty whiteboard, maybe it's time to upgrade to a new one!
